An impressive diamond and cornflower blue sapphire brooch, of marquise form set with thirteen graduated oval cut sapphires, the largest central stone of approximately 4.2 by 5.3mm, interspersed with diamond doublets and single diamond to the end, in a marquise shaped setting of 18ct gold and platinum with beaded edge, whole measures 74mm in length, 8.0g.
There is a very slight chip to one corner of one of the second smallest sapphires (second from the end) otherwise the stones appear in good condition, the setting is good, and stones secure, however to the same side around the fourth sapphire two of the beads setting the stone appear slightly darker, possibly indicating a later solder repair.
