A brass barrelled flintlock blunderbuss with spring bayonet by Wallis (of Hull?), c 1785, 29½” overall, 2 stage round bell mouth barrel 14” with Tower private proofs, the 12” spring bayonet released by catch on the barrel tang; line engraved stepped flat lock with swan neck cock, signed in flowing script; walnut fullstock with Egg type chequered wrist, brass mounts including trigger guard with dog tooth border and acorn finial, and with iron ramrod. GWO & basically GC (bayonet spring missing, stock fractured right through forward of the trigger guard).
