A LATE NINETEENTH CENTURY FRENCH PORCELAIN MONOGRAMMED DINNER AND DESSERT SERVICE, monogrammed with the letter A, having a pale blue and gilt border, the dessert pieces also painted with flowers, some pieces printed with an orange-red retailer's mark 'Jullien Fils Ainé, Paris, Poissonniere', comprising two oval vegetable tureens and covers - the finials in the form of asparagus heads (both lids and one base repaired and with a loose piece), a fish plate with pierced drainer (drainer broken), two sauceboats with fixed stand (both repaired/restored), three meat plates - largest 38cm x 26cm (smallest repaired), one open vegetable dish (repaired/restored), one small scalloped serving plate, a pickle dish, twelve side plates (one restored, another three chipped), thirteen dessert plates (three have some damage or repairs), twenty three dinner plates diameter 23.5cm (nine chipped, another two have larger losses and/or cracks), thirteen soup plates (one with chipped rim, three with chipped foot), eleven small soup plates (one chipped and cracked) and dessert set comprising two comports (one chipped and cracked, one repaired), two pedestal cake plates (one chipped and cracked), and a dessert plate (repaired) (87) (Condition report: obvious specific damage as stated, otherwise ok with signs of light use and wear)
