Photography - a pair of Edwardian Kodak Souvenirs faux morocco albums, enclosing 184 sepia photographs of the Harben family of the Prudential Mutual Assurance holidaying at Biarritz, with sojourns at Bayonne & its environs and returning via Paris, each image annotated and dated from March 27 - April 23, the final days in Paris neither annotated or dated (20), the photographs informal and illustrating the family at leisure, lunching on picnics, locals and domestic social scenes, infrastructure, transport and topography, including the coast, Parisian landmarks and street scenes, gilt-edged card pages, the endpaper of each volume inscribed Maurice from HH, Biarritz 1902, 4to Provenance: Gifted by Sir Henry Harben (1823-1911) to Maurice (a presumed relation); thence by family descent.
Good condition. Some very occasional foxing and then only to card mounts.
