£140
George III silver cruet stand, by Robert Makepeace, London 1808, the bombe shaped stand with wooden base, centred with a carrying handle and supporting five of the seven original bottles including cut glass silver lidded wet mustard jar with unrelated Georgian silver spoon, two silver mounted glass oil and vinegar jugs, two silver mounted tabasco bottles, height 22cm
Needless to say, three bottles are missing and of the extant bottles, one stopper does not fit, two other stoppers have chips. Of the larger bottles, one has a chip to the base, the other has loose silver mounts.
The stand has some visible dents. Later monogram, hallmarks are clear. The wooden base is good. Overall this piece is at fault.
