Victorian British Diplomatic Service Mameluke hilted Sword. A scarce example, modelled on the 1831 pattern General Officer Sword. The blade is etched with a Victorian Crowned reverse entwined device and floral decoration. Gilt cross guard with floral decoration and Victorian Royal Coat of Arms device to the centre. Two piece grip with two floral head gilt studs. Housed in original polished brass and gilt scabbard with two loose rings. Blade near VGC. Scabbard with crease and crack. Blade fits. None transferable standard ivory exemption declaration number Y59CVZJ2
