A FINE GEORGE II SILVER SALVER
by Aymé Videau, London 1733, of shaped-square form with incurved corners, the moulded rim stepping down to a plain polished central reserve, centred by a crest within a shield cartouche, surrounded by engraved scrolls and musical cherubs, together with a simple embossed border featuring linework, diaper work, scrolls and a repeating shell motif, all raised on four cast feet. 23.5cm square, 26.1 troy ounces
The marks are clear. Rocks on two feet. Some surface wear commensurate with age but generally in good condition and a fine piece.
