ROWLAD MASON ORDISH (1824-1886) A Collection of Paperwork relating to the building of The Albert Bridge, London which was designed & built by Ordish in 1870 Including Patents office papers dated 1857 for the Invention of Improvement to Suspension Bridges, Letter of tender for the supply, delivery & erection of The Albert Bridge from Handside & Co for £42,700 dated 1869. Also Included is the original drawing of Ordish 1870 standing astride the bridge by Max Ende (engineer & friend of Ordish). The drawing was used in the book "Eighty Eight Not Out" page 30/31 by Harold Hartley, A presentation copy of the book published 1939 together with signed authors letter is included with further related items.
