THE RARE SMALL "MALTA POST PAID" (MPP-2d - KNOWN ONLY FOR 1843) ON COVER TO EGYPT; 7 Mar. 1843 EL (thin paper and so with some contents visible through the address-panel) from Malta to Alexandria with red "2.80" rate and a mainly very fine very rare small "MALTA POST PAID" (MPP-2d) on the front. Few examples of this short-lived Paid mark have been recorded.
