AN EARLY VICTORIAN MAHOGANY BRASS INLAID SEWING BOX, CIRCA 1839, the hinged lid and front frieze panel with symmetrical scrolling flowering vine brass inlay, the central brass inlay to the lid engraved 'Lydia Bagshaw, 1839'  the interior fitted with a lid compartment and a lift-out tray, filled with a quantity of cotton reels, needle cases, bobbins, buttons and other sewing paraphernalia
