A pair of Derby campana form inkwells, circa 1820, decorated in an Imari palette, height 90cm, together with an Imari pattern dish, possibly Copeland unusually also decorated to the underside (3). Michael had an unerring eye for quality. He was a frequent visitor to these auction rooms, an elegantly dressed, unassuming man who bought well and had a singular passion for old-school antiques.
