A Ceylon sapphire and diamond cluster ring, featuring a cushion mixed-cut sapphire of intense blue colour, approximately measuring 13.1 x 10.5 x 8.7 mm, superimposed on a frame of Asscher-cut diamonds with an estimated total weight of 1.82ct, to a pierced gallery and D-section shank, white metal marked '18k', ring head 1.9 x 1.5 cm, ring size Q (split shank), total weight of item 10.4 grams. A verbal assessment of the Gemmological Certification Services confirms the sapphire to be Sri Lankan in origin, with indications of heating.
