A FROSTED SILVER AWARD MEDAL FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF AGRICULTURE, PRESENTED IN 1832. An award medal from the Society For The Improvement of Agriculture with engraved presentation inscription to the reverse 'Presented to John Webb Esq in Acknowledgement of his very able services as one of the judges of cattle, Sept 1832'. Obverse with a standing figure of Ceres with a cornucopia and animals and farm implements all around. The medal by Faulkner. With a frosted finish and with glass lenticles front and back, on ring suspension and in red leather presentation case, 5.5cm overall, the medal 4.6cm *Condition: Rubbing to case, medal much as issued.
