A vintage commemorative coin mounted on a Connemara marble base. Commemorating ''The Opening of the Gulf Oil Terminal Bantry Bay by the Taoiseach 6th of May 1969.''. This is now referred to as Whiddy Terminal and was opened by former Taoiseach Jack Lynch. There has been a sequence of disasters in Bantry Bay relating to the establishment of said terminal. Quite the interesting item.
