A George IV mahogany chamber table, by Gillows of Lancaster and London, stamped Gillows Lancaster, the superstructure with a waterfall arrangement of two shelves, the projecting base with slightly oversailing rectangular top above a long cockbeaded frieze drawer, enclosing a sliding plateau with inset tooled and gilt writing surface, angle-adjustable on a ratchet, turned and reeded tapered cylindrical legs, arrow feet, 123.5cm high, 69cm wide, 45.5cm deep, c.1825
