"Imprinted at London by Christopher Barker, Printer to the Queenes Most Excellent Maiestie 1587" bound with "The Whole Book of Psalms Collected into English Meetre by Thomas Sternhold, John Hopkins and Others ...", London printed by John Wolfe for the Assignes of Richard Day 1587, the tp of the psalms has ink blotches and inscriptions, the bible is missing initial pages, title pages, etc, and starts "Of the Incomparable Treasure of the Holy Scriptures, with a prayer for the truth of the same ...", woodcut decorations, woodcut illustrations, the whole has been cut down with loss of text to the top indexes, full leather, front board detached, marbled ep, raised bands, pastedown with Barker and date, one pastedown separated ( see image)
"The Holy Bible ...", Edinburgh, printed by John Baskett & Co, His Majesty's Printers in 1726, with a small paper cut card for St Catherine and a note of the psalms content, bound within original leather binding with foldover and leather loop fastenings (2)
