A South Indian rosewood & gilded metal mounted jewellery / dowry box. The box of rectangular form with pyramid shaped lid set with large brass strap-work mounts throughout and folding handle atop. The box opening to reveal a felted interior with lidded section to side. Measures approx. 28cm x 41cm x 31cm.
