CLAUDIUS DU CHESNE, LONDON A FINE EARLY 18th CENTURY EBONISED MOONPHASE BRACKET CLOCK having an inverted bell top pediment with engraved pierced sound frets with matching frets to the sides, brass moulded arched glazed door flanked by brass fluted ebonised columns on large brass-bound moulded plinth base supported on turned brass feet, the 8" arched brass dial with unusual gilt winged Old Father Time spandrels and Roman chapter ring surrounding a matted centre with applied ringed winding holes, dummy pendulum and calendar apertures, the fine scroll engraved arch enclosing three subsidiary dials for days, months and regulation, the centre with penny moon phase fronting an eight-day double fusee movement with fully engraved backplate, rise and fall verge escapement, striking the hours on a bell and pull repeating the quarters on a nest of 6 bells 69.5cm high
