A pair of large 19th Century Bohemian opal glass vases by Josef Ahne, each of swollen ovoid form with flared collar necks and hand enamelled with a large oval cartouche panel depicting classical females surrounded by cherubs within relief gilt paste surrounds over a ruby coloured ground, each hand signed to the lower margin, height 47cm. (2)
Both free from damage or restoration, some slight colour variation to the red ground colour and some wear to the gilded rims.
