A BOER WAR AND FIRST WORLD WAR GROUP OF FOUR TO THE ROYAL NAVY. A group of four comprising Queen's South Africa Medal named to J. Williams P.O. 1st Class H.M.S Monarch. 1914-15 Star named to 146963 J. Williams C.P.O. R.N. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. John Williams was born on the 20th November 1872 at Antony, Cornwall, in 1881 living at 192 Kings Terrace Torpoint. He joined the Royal Navy aged 15 as a Boy 2nd class on the 7th November 1888. Serving in the Reserve during the Great War he was demobilised in 1919 after 30 years of service. Mounted for display with copied research.
