A NEEDLEWORK TAPESTRY OF THE HUNTS OF MAXIMILIAN LIBRA: SEPTEMBER - DEER HUNT: CHASING THE DEER IN THE LAKES OF THE GROENEDAEL PRIORY 219 x 264cm This tapestry is based on the September example from the series of twelve which depict the hunting scenes in the Sonian Forest, Brussels, by the court of Maximillian I. They were completed in the 1530s designed by Bernard Van Orley and woven by Willem Dermoyen. The set is now in the collection of the Louvre, Paris.
