A MEDIEVAL STYLE SWORD, POSSIBLY EUROPEAN IN MANUFACTURE IN THE KASKARAS STYLE, the blade is approximately 88cm in length, blade is marked on both sides, with opposite facing Crescent Moons, usually seen on early German blades from Solingen or Spanish examples from Toledo, the blade is triple fullered near the Ricasso, tapering to single fullered approximately 42cm from the Cross guard, the guard itself is a one piece steel? with expanding Sun/Star in centre, the grip is tight bound cord, with a leather cuff at the top, age believed to be late 17th to 18th Century, light rusting throughout
