HS 4000 "KESTREL". A rare opportunity to own an original black and white negative depicting the Hawker Siddley prototype diesel locomotive "KESTREL". No date on the negative but studying the photograph it appears to be on class 47 bogies which would date it to Feb./March 1971, before movement to Cardiff docks for export to the USSR. Location looks like Crewe (where it was fitted with the class 47 bogies). Believed not to have been published before. Sold with copyright, sample illustrated.
