Notes: A similar version (private collection, America) was commissioned in the year the vessel was built in Sunderland and portrays an imaginative view of the ship's departure on her maiden voyage abeam of Dover Castle with the harbour and Shakespeare cliff visible on the left-hand side (included in the Davidson book, p.178)
