An original chronometer by Smith & Sons Motor Accessories for a racing or sports car, fitted with a Jaeger movement. This type of chronometer would be fitted to cars entering long-distance events in period such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans or the Brooklands Six Hours or Double Twelve races.
