Railway. Two albums of black and white prints. The first album has approx. 340 original, black and white postcard size prints (a few square format noted). Taken by a Mr J. Murphy, the prints are good record of his travels with his camera in the 1960's. Most of the photographs are on Southern Region including Waterloo, Basingstoke, Woking, Clapham Junction, Winchester, Weymouth, Newport-several photos of the O2's awaiting scrapping, there are a couple of Railtours in 1967, photos on the ex Great Central at Marylebone, Woodford Halse, BR Standards in the North of England, Western Region sheds including 85A, 85B, 81F. The prints are mixed quality with some out of focus due to the limitations of his camera, but nevertheless a nice personal record of the time with captions. The second album includes approx. 160, mostly postcard size, black and white prints, including some larger 12" x 10" photographs. The album features ex LNER steam around the Nottingham area, some original prints (better quality than the first album) and commercial pre-grouping photographs. No copyright, sample illustrated.
