MARKS: 8 Nov. 1848 unpaid EL from Gonaives to Bordeaux with boxed "COLONIES/&c.ART.13." accountancy mark (fine, overlapped somewhat by "ANGL/BOULOGNE" cds & m/s charge) on the front along with rare oval "GONAIVES/PAYE" intaglio (mostly fine, part over-inked). Also having Bordeaux arrival & London transit on reverse as well as 2-arc Jacmel cds across the join. Plus 11 April 1853 unpaid E from Cap-Haitien to Bordeaux with "COLONIES/&c.ART.13." mark (fine) below "15" decimes h.s. charge & "CAP-HAITIEN/PAYE" intaglio (faint) along with Paris & Bordeaux cds's & 2-arc Jacmel backstamp on reverse.
