£220
A George III mahogany and marquetry rectangular tea caddy, inlaid with oval batwing paterae, hinged cover enclosing a pair of lidded compartments, outlined throughout with barberpole stringing, 19.5cm wide
Please see attached images. Generally good condition. The caddy looks like it could have been cleaned and polished in the not too distant past, but not waxy to the touch. Some even fading throughout. Occasional stable veneer splits, light shrinkage. The back base with a light loss to timber, though standing well. Nevertheless, a handsome caddy.
