A Victorian court sword by Thompson, 19th century, the 80.5cm unfullered double edged blade etched with the Royal cypher and maker’s name to one side and monogrammed to the other (the etching quite worn), set to a lacquered brass gilt with beaded grip, guard, knuckle bow and pommel, 96.5cm long overall, in associated brass and leather scabbard (at fault); with a further similar example with 76cm blade, 93.5cm long overall, in associated brass and leather scabbard (at fault) (2)
