A rare and unique heavy jumbo sized quality Victorian silver and crocodile skin clad hip/pocket whiskey flask. Fitted with a silver engine turned engraved four draw telescopic collapsible integral bayonet fitting screw top. Which is stamped with a patented registry design lozenge date mark, makers mark of Carnelly & Company, Birmingham, 1886. They were registered as silversmiths in 1867, and were active between 1876-1887, and listed as a flask, box and vesta case makers. The interior glass flask is in perfect condition and the thick gauge crocodile leather cladding is in good condition. Supported with a fine brown rich safari patination and colour. Size. 8"high. 4"wide. 1"deep.
