An antique watercolour on paper titled "Cathedral of Cane" by famed British-French artist Paul Marny (1829-1914) featuring the titular cathedral with the medieval city surrounding it in beautiful lighting. Marny has a strong auction history up to the thousands.
Marny was born in Paris and worked as a watercolour and landscape artist exhibiting in the Paris salon, he specialises in historic streetscapes in an illustrative style.
