A FIRST WORLD WAR PAIR AND MEMORIAL PLAQUE TO THE NORFOLK REGIMENT. A Great War Pair comprising War Medal and Victory Medal named to 41098 Pte E.W. Day Norf. R. plaque to Ernest William Day. Ernest William was the son of William and Rose Day of Green Tye, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire. He served with the 7th (Service) K1 Battalion and was killed in action on the 1st May 1918, he is buried on the Somme at Acheux Brisitish Cemetery, his headstone reads 'Peace Perfect Peace with loved on far away, Never Forgotten', he was 19 years old. *CR Slight marks to surfaces.
