A charming original oil on canvas by artist Manson Blair depicting a tranquil scene in rural Ireland with lake and mountainside in Blair's typical style. Signed bottom right. Blair has seen much success in the secondary market, with regular sales in the mid hundreds.
Manson Blair was born near Ballyclare, Co. Antrim in 1947. A graduate of Stranmillis College Manson went on to pursue a career in teaching, in Larne, then Carrickfergus and in 2004 retired from Ballyclare Primary School after 26 years. After retirement Manson Blair began to paint in earnest focusing on traditional Irish landscape, particularly the rugged mountain, coastal and lake views of the West of Ireland, as well as the more local Antrim coast.
