Haydon (Benjamin, 1786-1846). An original three-sided manuscript letter, signed by Benjamin Haydon, dated 2nd November 1845, letter regards his lateness in response due to the illness of his daughter. And that he is happy to paint a portrait for a Mr Kirby for £25 rather then his usual fee of £36.15, if he so wishes, 11cm x 19cm approx., letter tipped-in onto card for display purposes. Haydon was a painter in the 19th Century, He was imprisoned several times due to debt and eventually committed suicide.
