Condition is well- above normal throughout with many carefully selected stamps & covers. Note examples of the main stamp groups used on attractive covers, and also the stamps themselves. Covers include 1840 1d blacks on 2 covers including creased plate 4 with 4 margins and 'Todmorden Penny Post' handstamp alongside, a plate 10 with large 4 margins the letter referring to 'vintage 1834' Port! several plated 1d red imperfs on covers, 1841 2d blue with 4 margins on cover, various perforated issues on covers incl 1855 1d SG21 from the scarce plate 3; the stamps include 1864-79 1d red set of plates 71 - 225 (no 77) the plate 225 lightly cancelled and unusually well-centered, also a sheet reconstruction AA-TL of mixed plates including cds cancellations, 1858-76 2d set of plate numbers 7 - 15 mostly cds cancellations including a lovely plate 12, 1870-79 ½d complete set of plates 1-20 many with cds cancellations incl plate 9.
