An 18 bore flintlock duelling pistol, by Ketland & Co, c. 1815, 15½” overall, sighted octagonal barrel 10” with gold line at breech and gold touch hole, and with traces of “LONDON” on the top flat; flat lock with French style cock, rainproof pan, and roller on frizzen spring, the plate engraved with fern tip borders and “T. Ketland & Co”; walnut fullstock with rounded chequered butt, oval silver escutcheon, and steel mounts, the trigger guard engraved with trophies and with pineapple finial, and housing single set trigger; with brass tipped ramrod with iron worm.
