FIRST AND SECOND WORLD WAR GROUPS TO THE GREEN FAMILY WITH AN EXTENSIVE ARCHIVE. A Great War Group of four comprising 1914-15 Star named to 1398 Cpl C.E. Green Oxf and Bucks L.I. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named, with a George V. Territorial Efficiency Medal named to 265142 Sjt C.E. Green Oxf & Bucks L.I. Charles Green served with the 1/1st Buckinghamshire Battalion of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.
A Great War Trio comprising a 1914-15 Star named to 13395 Pte W.A. Green Oxf & Bucks L.I. War Medal and Victory Medal similarly named. William Henry Green served with the 7th (Service) Battalion of the Oxford and Bucks Light Infantry, he is recorded as suffering with dysentery in September 1916, at which time he was with D company of the 7th and had been serving with the Field force for 12 months.
A Second World War Group of five comprising 1939-45 and France and Germany Stars, Defence and War Medal, all unnamed as issued and a Cadet Forces medal named to Major R.C.E. Green A.C.F. mounted as worn.
With an image of Charles Green in uniform, a collection of postcards, other photographs, Civil Defence leaflets and other documents. *CR Medals with normal light surface marks. Paperwork and photographs in mixed condition. A lot fee of £8 inc. VAT will be charged on top of the hammer price and BP on all lots.
