Interesting 1796 Pattern Light Cavalry Troopers Sword, curved blade 33", top flat of blade marked "Osborn" at ricasso. Number of nicks to blade, grip leather worn. Right hand langet missing. Blade with crown over "2". In its heavy steel scabbard engraved "17 L 37" (17th lancers, Rack No "37"). With a oval disk fixed to scabbard and engraved "Balaclava 25th Oct. 1854 Charge".
