A WW2 Era Japanese General's Sword (with scabbard) by Ki Masatsugu. A high quality sword dated February 1942, in Japanese army officers mounts bearing a silver kamon of the Kobayashi family - The book Japanese Generals 1926-1945 by Richard Fuller (2011) cites General Kobayashi - Born 1892, Commander of the 19th Engineer Regiment. Comes with an appraisal sheet and tang pictures/markings. In overall very good condition but please see our array of pictures and close-ups. Blade length - 69cm. Total length in scabbard - 100cm.
