Fees

A pair of Chinese coral silk ‘dragon’ panels, 19th century, worked in polychrome silk and gold thread with dragons amid clouds and auspicious objects, above lishiu stripes, the largest 89 x 39cm, framed and glazed, probably fragments from a robe

More Information

These are almost certainly fragments from a robe with later borders and light framed. Both panels have some staining and lighter patches to the terracotta/apricot ground and the material is a bit ruffled and uneven, the embroidered and brocade banded borders are in reasonable condition, both later framed and glazed in slightly different size frames.
