A CASED LATE VICTORIAN 9CT GOLD BLACK ENAMEL MOURNING RING, designed as a black enamel heart with seed pearl accent, black enamel and seed pearl sides, cannetille border, to the engraved band with woven hair insert, personal engraving to inner band reading; 'A.R. Evans died May 18th 1900', maker's mark 'W.G', hallmarked 9ct Chester 1899, ring size N, approximate weight 2.3 grams (overall condition: very good, woven hair panels have started to disintegrate, minor light scratches and abrasion to enamel and band, in keeping with age)
