The following lots are from the late Raymond Barry Owen everyone knew him as Barry Owen.
He loved trains since a young boy, his father worked at Paragon Station in Hull. He developed a passion for model trains and in order to get the detailing right he would take photos. He moved to London from Hull in the early 50’s and would go to various lines in the south east. He loved going to the Isle of Wight railway and also North Wales narrow gauge lines where his father was born. He moved to Tonbridge Kent in 1963 and would visit local lines and became a member of various railway societies like the Bluebell Line.
Railway. B.R. Steam. A selection of 63 x 35mm, original, colour slides on Agfa film (approx 5 are glass mounted) featuring the ISLE OF WIGHT Railway.
There are some good period photos on the Island, including locomotives, stations, and rolling stock, most/all taken between 1962-4. Note there are 2 from the 1970's and there are 9 copy slides. Plus 9 whole and 1 half Edmondson, I.O.W. railway tickets mostly from the 1960's. No real captions, sold with copyright. Sample illustrated.
