£360
A provincial early 18th century and later oak bureau bookcase of small proportions, the top with six glazed panels, base with fitted interior having sunken well and secret compartments, above four drawers and stood on bracket feet, width 71cm, depth 51cm & height 204cm.
Condition - generally very good, various age related wear including old worm holes, scuffs and scratches, various old repairs/alterations including pull out slides and handles, generally good patina and sturdy, it is our opinion that the piece was made in the 18th century with some reused wood, hence the grooves in interior and drawer backs, (please note that the buyer should satisfy themselves as to condition and authenticity).
