A very large original acrylic on canvas painting from Haiti, signed by the artist Gary bottom right. The work features a local village scene of fisherman and farmers, carried out in the traditional Haitian style characterised by vivid colours and spontaneity of painting. Haitian painting gained recognition in the late 20th century and was seen as an expression of the countries difficult history.
