WWII FAIRBURN SYKES TYPE FIGHTING KNIFE WITH WOODEN HANDLE AND PROBABLY LATER SCABBARD, 'Wooden Gripped F-S variation, a nice example. These were specifically made for use by the RAF during WWII the wooden grip being lighter. Many of these apparently made their way over to the Burma campaign. The scabbard is an incorrect post war replacement but the knife is correct' our thanks to Roy Shadbolt for his opinion
