Fees

An unattributed Air Force Cross (AFC), GVIR issue (GRI cypher); officially dated ‘1943’ on reverse.
Only just over 2000 AFCs (with 26 first bars and 1 second bar) were awarded during the Second World War. It is therefore a much scarcer award than the counterpart
Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC) for which the corresponding figures are 20,354 awards, with 1,550 first bars and 42 second bars (including awards to foreign
nationals). In Royal Mint fitted case of issue and complete with original silk ribbon and presentation pin brooch.
A few very small marks on reverse, but otherwise Good Very Fine (GVF) condition.
