A large taxidermy Indian tiger skin rug, c1920s, with fully mounted head and backed onto cotton canvas with black felt edging. Overall maximum size 235cm x 210cm. Head to tail 204cm.
Condition report: Overall aged wear, one fang missing, damage to tongue, some repairs to skin, backing loose in places.
Please note: Tigers are a highly protected species and are subject to CITES regulation. However, this is a 'worked' example, pre-1947 so can be sold under the Antiques Derogation without need for a CITES certificate.
