A STRAIGHT-LINE POND MODEL FOR THE TEN-GUN ADMIRALTY REVENUE CUTTER PHEASANT [1770]
with 29in. carvel planked and framed wooden hull finished in gloss paint, planked varnished deck with fittings including brass guns in stepped red-pained carriages, swivel guns, winch, removable gratings, bilge pumps, stove pipe, tiller with carved pheasant head terminal etc, mast and yards, gaff and boom with stitched starched cotton sails, rigging with blocks and painted flags reading "may we enter harbour", loosely mounted on a wooden display stand -- 44 x 53in. (112 x 135cm.) overall; together with a set of facsimile Greenwich plans from which the model was scratch-built.
