LARGE SEVRES STYLE PORCELAIN CHARGER - LOUIS XIV. A large porcelain charger, painted in the centre with a portrait of King Louis XIV, and with eight further portraits of his consorts against a bleu celeste ground and gilded decoration. With names of the figures to the reverse, and with pseudo Sevres painted marks. 50cms diameter.
Rings nicely and seems in generally good order, a little wear around the rim and a couple of small areas that have been rubbed, there is a wire in place which runs around the base for hanging. A little wear to the gilding around some of the portraits and other gilding.
