The most beautiful 1930's hardback English edition of "Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám". The title is what Edward FitzGerald gave to his 1859 translation from Persian to English of a selection of quatrains attributed to Omar Khayyam, dubbed "the Astronomer-Poet of Persia". Bound in green cloth and filled with spectacular illustrations by William Pogány. Another of these editions is currently selling for $139 on ebay.com
